The Cordes family

Schulenburg

1915 Center Door, 1924 Doctor's Coupe, 1925 Runabout
1926 Tow Truck, 1927 TT trailer truck & more
The Cordes family, Willie, his wife Gay Nell and his two sons, Jeff and Luke, are very heavily into Model Ts. Schulenburg is not exactly next door to San Antonio. In fact it's about half way between the Alamo City and Houston, so they are members of the Space City Ts as well, and participate in any number of T related activities, including those organized by the club based in College Station as well. It's always a pleasure to see them at any event. They always have the most interesting Ts. Additionally, both Jeff and Luke are the first to lend a hand when someone needs some assistance. Their knowledge and generosity is well known. The whole family are just the best people imaginable. They are mainstays of the annual "Texas T Party," the largest annual gathering of Model Ts, organized by the Houston club. It is held in a different part of Texas each year We at TFOT consider ourselves lucky to know them.

Back In the 80s and 90s Willie and Gay Nell used to lead a weekend tour each spring for Space City Ts and more than once included this bridge on their route. Willie was there on the day they re-opened it in 2015 after being restored and was invited to be the first vehicle to cross.
